cancel limit order

Hi;

I want to send limit order by code.In case of partial fill, is there a way to cancel limit order with remaining quantity when price goes above the percentage that I have set.

Hi Irfan, yes you can issue a CancelOrder() call on your IOrder object that's working / partial filled. I know how to cancel the order but my question is that if have place limit order with 1000 quantity and when limit is achieved may I have only get filled 500 shares and then price goes above and does not reached to my limit price after a specific time. How can I cancel order for remaining 500 shares. I am also using the unmanaged approach to send limit order .

Understood, you would not cancel it for a specific amount - when you Cancel commend is processed the order is canceled, in the meantime you could still be getting fills for sure as the order is actively working to get filled.

as I understand ,you say that there is no way in NinjaTrader to cancel remaining shares in limit order if part of order is get filled.

No you can cancel the order at anytime, there's just no guarantee that between the time you issued the cancel command then no other fills for it would be coming in. As there's a delay getting that commend send out to your broker / the exchange where the order is working. So there's no cancel for a specific qty only for the complete order.
