I've been testing and was unsuccessful to get the NIFTY for the SGX up and running, it could be that our account is not enabled for this.

To give you an idea of the settings that are used please see the following screenshots:

Make sure that SGX is selected in the Exchange section in the Instrument Manager itself.

Furthermore, I've searched for the correct symbol map and used 'NIFTY' as you can find on the following page:

http://www1.interactivebrokers.ch/contract_info/v3.8/index.php?site=IB&action=Top%20Search&symbol=NIFTY&description=NIFTY

I will double check later this morning with my coworkers to see what they have to say and follow up if we can find any more info about the NIFTY

I did exactly the same but doesn''t seem to work. What do you mean your account is not enabled. Can't you check on TWS?

I am able to see the chart now. I want to download historical data for the instrument. Cna I do it through the download manager? thanks

We have not recorded data for this instrument so therefore have nothing available to download.

IB provides historical Minute and Daily data when you're connected to your Live account. Are you connected to your Live account?

Also, there is no historical Tick data provided by IB so this is not available.

yes, I am connected live to IB. Can I make sure that the lice tick data from IB is stored?

What you can do is to go Tools--> Options--> Data tab--> Check 'Save chart data as historical'.
