NT Consuming 8 GB of RAM on Launch

I recently ran a walk forward genetic optimization on a custom strategy which consumed all 16 GB of physical memory on my Windows 7 workstation. My system stalled and I aborted after a few hours.

I notice now that NT requires 8 GB of physical memory just to launch. I have only one workspace open and have closed all charts. Nothing is running or connected and I have restarted NT in this state. Still 8 GB!

How do I determine why NT is using this amount of RAM just to launch?

You installation is most likely corrupted. Try reinstalling NT; over itself in the first instance, then uninstall first if that does not do it.

Uninstalled NT and re-installed. That fixed the problem.
