Trade Collection: Gettrades() data changes over time

    Hello,
Ninjatrader Gettrades() function doesnt seem to work the way i expect. I have been backtesting a strategy on DELL over time for the past few months. It outputs trades on termination starting with the last trade and going forward. Last week i went to update it and nothing was outputted although Ninjatrader shows that i traded up until then.

Do you have any idea what is going on. What else could cause my historic data returned from gettrades() to change month over month?

Please let me know i am baffled.

Welcome to our forums AudleyWilson - you were testing the script while being connected then your data provider in NT correct? Could it have been a data update that would have produced a different trade grouping? When NT is connected it would attempt to keep your data as current as possible per those 'load rules' -

I doubt this is the case. I have selected to not merge data... would anything ninjatrader to populate new order data if this is selected when i rerun data.
Also the issue i am dealing with is specific to stocks like dell that are no longer active. if i run any simple strategy on dell, that is set to output data on termination, i get different results from gettrade data if the strategy ends before or after the stock was taken off the market.

If it ends before that date gettrade data will output all trades
If it ends after that date gettrade data will output no trades

Thanks for the reply, the merge would not have any input since you're dealing with non futures data. If you are connected then current day data would always be reloaded - what chart time frame are you seeing this on?

'Also the issue i am dealing with is specific to stocks like dell that are no longer active'

Would this mean you run the script in after hours for the specific stock?
