Different resulst strategy

If I run the exact same strategy on 2 computers using the exact same conection from FXCM, I still get diferent results (different buy/sell signals). The only difference I can see is that there migth be a sligth difference in computer time (even if this is milliseconds that could cause a difference). Therefore a bar could be build sligthly difference. This will only be the case if an incoming tick is stored in the NT database with a date/timestamp of the computer and not a date/time stamp of the tick itselfs. Is each tick stored with the date/timestamp of the computer? Could this be the reason for the difference in results or could there be any other cause?

Thank you for your post.

FXCM's data is natively stamped tick data. This means that is comes in NT already time stamped.

With that said, NT will convert the time of the stamp to match the PC click time.

You can ensure that the PC is synced up with the following steps.

You can sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change time zone...' Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.

Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated.

Additionally, ensure that you have same settings, database, and strategy parameters for each computer.
