Simple MACD signal crossover question

Thanks for your help... I was only using this to learn to use the wizard,
but what strategy do you use using PPO. For now I am using the defaults on the macd and playing the crosses on the ES using 150 tick chart.. but as we all know this is not the greatest of strategies...

I only trade forex, but if I were using only the PPO, I would simply trade the crossovers on a 1 minute chart.


What I find works well is using multiple indicators and entering trades when they all confirm the entry (CCI34, QQE etc).

I stopped using MACD when I found the PPO to be almost the same but a bit more responsive, and now I have stopped using the PPO and use QQE instead.

If you put all three on a chart you will be able to see which one works best for you. The advantage of the QQE is that the crosses generally happen sooner, there are less 'whipsaws' and its much easier to read visually. The problem with the MACD/PPO is when the lines are very close to each other it can be hard to tell exactly when a cross has occurred, this is not the case with the QQE.

I might suggest reading trading systems forum at forexfactory.com to get some strategy ideas. There is a very good community spirit there and people openly share their systems and ideas...

Hi- I am looking for a MACD indicator/template that will paint the bars green when the MACD line crosses above zero, and Red bars when the MACD line crosses beneath zero line. Do you have this indicator? I have never tried to program anything in Ninja as I am new to it, and it is proving a bit difficult. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!!!
