Interactive Brokers (IB) daily disconnect

I am still working with the Sim for now. Planning on going live soon.

How best to handle the IB daily disconnect? All Strategies are removed from the Control Center.

Will this disconnect remove my orders and close my open positions?

No it will not however, I am unsure if NT will be able to re-connect to TWS since if my memory serves me correctly, you really have to terminate TWS in order to log back in after IB daily disconnect.

IB reconnect

IB API developers have a yahoo group that offers an automatic reconnect program (free).
I have not used it but it is reported to be good and solve this problem.
