    Deployment -- Custom Installer

    Hi:

    I have exported my strategy and included some custom modules and chart templates. This Imports without issue though the standard 'Import NinjaScript" menu option.

    However, I've got a bunch of additional files that need to be deployed in a specific directory structure. Since this isn't accommodated by the standard Import method, I'm creating my own custom Windows installer.

    My question is: Is there a way that I can automatically invoke the 'Import NinjaScript' functionality from within my installer so that my users don't have to first complete my Installer and then make sure NinjaTrader is running, and then go through the manual 'Import NinjaScript' step?

    Thank you for your post.

    It is possible, although not through supported means. Some Third Party Developers have custom installers they use for their software in NinjaTrader as well.

    However, the supported method would be to go to File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript. And then manually import the files needed into the appropriate folders.

      Ok, fine. Given that a recompile of NinjaTrader.Custom appears to be required to get the assembly references right, and that's something I don't really want to do, I'd like to suggest that the import process support unzipping files with embedded directory hierarchies.

        If you wish to import other directories you will need to create a custom installer.
