Run a strategy not attached to a chart

I want to run a strategy that is not attached to any chart. Is this possible?

You mean you don't want to have a chart open for it to be running? This could be done from our Strategies tab in the Control Center. The strategy itself will need to have a primary series it's operating on though in any case.

I know that one can start a strategy from the Control Center, but it still requires to be associated with a chart so as to establish a primary data series. Is it possible to run a strategy that is not associated with a chart so one can create one's own data series (multiple series) as and when desired?

This relates back to a separate forum thread that asks if there is a hard limit to the number of data series one can add in a strategy. If it were the case that there is a limit that is related to a strategy being associated with a chart, it seemed reasonable to ask if it were possible to run "detached" from any chart to enable a large number of data series.

Even in its own right, this is an interesting possibility. There may be reasons why one may not want a data series at all when initiating a strategy. For example, if one is writing a pseudo-control panel that will add and remove data series ad hoc.

Thanks Jeremy for the shared thought, I will log this as enhancement request. Currently the script will require a primary series - you can though for sure drive logic adaptively as desired across all BarsInProgress.
