    Retrieve Orders by OrderID

    Hi all,
I've a strategy which runs overnight, but sometimes I want to stop the strategy for safety reasons without taking out my positions and my stops.

If I store OrderID to let's say a text file, is there any way to use it in order for Ninja to retrieve that order? ie.
-Let's say I'm Long and I've a stop loss order in place. I turn off the strategy. I want Ninja to retrieve the stop order.

I've solved the problem with market position, by using few parameters which tell Ninja if it's actually Long/Short and at what price, but I don't find a way to recover working orders.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Antonio

    Hello Antonio,

    Thank you for your post.

There is no method to start a strategy and have it recover the previous orders.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

These are the options that control that behavior. I believe they are pretty self-explanatory?

I don't think you understood my question, but thanks for trying.

I am sure that I understood your question perfectly. You want to be able to stop a strategy, but maintain your market position , and restore any protective target and/or stop orders when you reenable the strategy. Is that not what you asked?

Or maybe you are focused only on whether it is possible to use the OrderID to do what you want? In that case, that has been answered by Patrick.

On the other hand, if you want to achieve a specific situational result by the means that are possible, and provided, it is that to which I spoke. My apologies if I spoke out of turn.
