I'm trying to create a strategy where I first want to say that I want to go long when the MACD crosses, but I don't want to buy until the price closes above the 20 day and 50 day SMA. I have tried to create it through the wizard, but I am not sure if all I have to do is just create separate conditions for each and it will do what I want. Is the way I have it set up correct?

Hello VortexIndicator,
Thank you for your post.
The current condition you have created will check if the CrossAbove occurred at the same time the Close is greater than the SMAs.
Are your instead trying to create a condition to first check the CrossAbove and then if that is true check if the Close is greater than the SMAs on the next bar or after a set amount of time or bars?
Please detail the process of these conditions so I may be of further assistance.

Yes, I'm interested in what you mentioned above. Check to see if the MACD has crossed over. If it's crossed over, then check to see if the bar closes above the SMAs. If all conditions are met, then buy.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_PatrickH View PostHello VortexIndicator,

If you are looking for all of these conditions on the same bar then you have already set this up in the Strategy Wizard.
No no no... Not on the same bar. I'm trying to say first I want the MACD to crossover. The price is not always going to close above the moving averages at the same time. So, until the price closes above the moving averages is when I want it to execute the trade. How do I set that up on the wizard if I haven't done that correctly on my initial post.
