Problem with order quantities in Forex

Hello,

I am taking my first steps with this so this is a very basic question about order sizing in Forex.

I have an account for simulated trading of $1,000,000 in Interactive Brokers.
I have an strategy running on 17 FX pairs in NinjaTrader.

The problem is:

I have 17 open positions in NinjaTrader of 40000 and 80000. It makes a total of 750000 units. BUT when I look at the account information from the Trader Workstation of IB, it says I have:

Net Liquidation Value: 1,001,977.88USD
Current Available Funds: 991,086.85USD
Current Excess Liquidity: 991,086.85USD

It means I'm just trading around 10,000USD.

I don't understand what's happening. I though that orders are always measured in USD, so a 40000L order in USD.CAD should mean buying USD40000 in exchange for Canadian Dollars at the exchange rate.

Another value that concerns me is the "Buying Power" of IB of 3,964,022.60. What does that mean?

Thank you for your post.

The Account Values sch as Buying Power are pulled directly from TWS. You will need to follow up with Interactive Brokers on the Buying Power.

For the currency measured for the units traded, it should return as USD in NinjaTrader. Can you provide an example of units that are reported in PnL incorrectly (or not in USD)?
