    Market Position

    Need to have a long position not get closed out by a short (EnterShort) as I want to have the trailing stop close the long (and in reverse of course). I have read that I need to use the following,

    I just don't know how to start modifying the following.

    protected override void OnBarUpdate()
    {
    // Condition set 1
    if (Blank[1])
    {
    EnterLong(DefaultQuantity, "");
    }

    // Condition set 2
    if (Blank[0])
    {
    EnterShort(DefaultQuantity, "");
    }

    What little knowledge I did have many years ago is gone, so please be gentle ; ) and thanks.

    Hi Hammerhorn, yes you could add a check to MarketPosition into your entry conditions and require this to be flat i.e.

    Code:
    if (Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Flat && Blank[1])
               EnterLong();
