multiple strategies

hello, i have two strategies that i would like to run simultaneously on the same instrument. Given the conditions they evaluate, it's possible for one strategy to take a long trade while the other one takes a short trade for the same instrument. Can Ninjatrader support a simultaneous long and short trade for the same instrument?

If you are executing orders in the same account, it does not matter from where you do so. You cannot be long and short at the same time in the same instrument in the same account. It is a physical impossibility, as the broker simply executes buy and sell orders, not long and short orders. The second (i.e., opposite) order will simply cancel the first order and take you flat.

You could run them both from the same account but would just have to keep in mind that if one is long and the other is short your account position would be flat. http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h..._account_p.htm

Strategies are independent, even if run on the same chart. Each strategy allows you to specify on which account it will be run.
