    Recording stocks for replay?

I followed the directions (http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...l?set_up12.htm) but I am getting error: "There is no L1 replay available for instrument date"

I am trying to record the nasdaq 100 so I can run some tests. Today I opened market analyzer and put in about 80 of the nasdaq 100 stocks and then went and turned on "record for market replay". At the end of the day I unchecked record for market replay, but when I try to download any of the stocks I get the error message.

I am using IB for the feed, and data was loading for all the stocks in the market analyzer.

Assuming you did manage to record...

Restart NT and re-connect to Market Replay and report back if it is there or not.

Also go to Tools->historical data manager->edit, and see if any of your stocks have been recorded.

Trade_cents, did you have an indicator column running on your MarketAnalyzer page?

I had Instrument AskPrice BidPrice and LastPrice as columns.

I just tried something. When I go to market replay connection and right click on available data those stocks do come up so apparently it did save.

So i guess I do not have to "Download replay data" for the recorded data?

I am able to pull up a chart and test strategy one stock at a time but is there a way of testing a strategy on the basket of those stocks (all 80) using that recorded data at one time?

Trade_cents, sorry for my late reply here. Glad to hear the data recorded was saved now. Yes, you could build an instrument list for your desired instruments chosen ((Tools > Instrument Manager)) and then apply the script to this complete instrument list in the Strategies tab in NT's Control Center.

How do I "apply the script to this complete instrument list in the Strategies tab in NT's Control Center" ??

Trade_cents, please build yourself first of all a custom instrument list you wish to use - this can be done under Tools > Instrument Manager.

In the strategies tab in the Control Center then right click and select to create a new strategy instance running, in the field where you would select the instrument then choose to select an instrument list instead, point here to your created custom list from the first step.
