Running Multiple Strategies on one IB account

Hi

I want to run more than one strategy on my IB account and each strategy trades the same instrument at different times. Is there a way to prevent the orders generated from each strategy interfering with each other for example if one strategy is Long 1 contract and the other strategy goes Short 1 contract, it doesn't exit the Long contract from the other strategy?

Each strategy instance will keep track of its own unique position and it will not be aware of the other strategy position or your account position.

What this means is that if your StrategyA was long, and your StrategyB went short, your overall account position will be flat, however your strategies will both continue to operate per their unique programmed position handling.

They should not interfere with each other as far as the strategy logic is concerned.
