Echoing interest here as well. Unless I missed it in the release notes previously referenced, the ability to invoke an optimization from within a strategy has not been implemented, correct?

        Hello TheFil,

No, SFT-631 has not been implemented at this time.

When new features are implemented, they will be listed in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide. The ID number may be different than the internal feature request tracking ID, but the description of the feature will let you know if that feature has been implemented.

I will add your vote to SFT-631.

I would like to automatically re-optimize on a daily basis, so if this makes that possible, add another vote...
Note: you may be able to do this (in a round-about way) by using AUTO-IT, which lets you automate user interaction with any GUI... That's what I will attempt until/if this enhancement is available.

NinjaTrader_ChelseaB Has this been implemented yet (referring to the ability of running backtests and walk-forward optimization through an API)? The links to the release notes are no longer valid - where can I find documentation on the API?

                Hello haakonflaar,

SFT-631 has not been implemented at this time.

Please note, we receive many requests and cannot reasonably implement all requested features or changes. Interest is tracked internally and if enough interest is tracked, it would be weighed against how feasible it would be to make those changes to consider implementing, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment.

When new features are implemented, they will be listed in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide. The ID number may be different than the internal feature request tracking ID, but the description of the feature will let you know if that feature has been implemented.

Below is a link to a forum post that details the API.
