Close Position Rule dependant on Condition

Hi to all,

Need to create a (regime switching) system were the rule to close a Long Position should be something like:

1. If, since the long position was opened, "Indicator A" never moved above Y close should be done base on Rule 1
2. If, since the long position was opened, "Indicator A" once moved above Y close should be done base on Rule 2

could you give me an example on how such method can be implemented in NinjaTrader?

This could be done by checking the market position against a tracking variable

There are a few Sample Automated Strategies which come pre-configured in NinjaTrader that you can use as a starting point. These are found under Tools--> Edit NinjaScript--> Strategy. You will see locked strategies where you can see the details of the code, but you will not be able to edit (you can though always create copies you can later edit via right click > Save as)
