Optimizer setup, only allow 7 'gates'

I setup a script that will optimize based on numbers 1 to 5, if the position of an indicator was 1-4 and matched up and optimzer setting, ie 1, then procede.

What I am trying to get next is if I have 40 of these gates, how can I program the script,genetic optimzer or optimizer to only optimize 7 at a time, ie use the least amount of variables

Tinkerz, it sounds to me like you would need to come with a customization of the optimizer type used for this special case. As the default and Genetic would only work across your user defined inputs and go through permutations as your parameter ranges allowed.
