I have an unprofitable strategy with equal stop loss/take profit targets, say 50 points tp, 50 points sl. Around 65% trades are unprofitable, so I think to myself, if I keep exactly the same trade conditions but simply reverse the trade direction ~ buy when sell and vice versa, the results should be exactly the same but with 65% profitable trades instead.
It rarely works out like this though. When I keep exactly the same trade conditions and reverse trade direction, results are completely different. If only it were this easy, but out of curiosity why do they differ?
