Add( Instrument and/or TimeFrame) after Initialize

Hi there,

Is it possible to Add an Instrument (or TimeFrame) to a Strategy after Initialize() ? Ideally in OnStartUp(), I need to read Instrument.xxx to identify instrument & contract expiry before adding the 2nd instrument.

Hello Dominique,
Unfortunately you cannot use the Add() method (to load secondary data) in OnStartUp.

If you try using the unsupported ChartControl class to read the instrument name then are you able to get the data

ChartControl.BarsArray[0].Instrument
