Can't Close Some Positions opened by Automated Strategy

hello all, thanks in advance for any help


I have about 5 positions that have been opened by automated strategies (in simulations) that i can't seem to get to close. I manually hit "close position" and also "flatten all" from both the right click menu and the File menu.

They're pretty persistent and won't seem to close; they have been for open for about 2 weeks now. Maybe its because of the rollover expirations dates?

At any rate, I want to close them cause I think they are botching up my account performance statistics.

Please try resetting the Simulator account and see if you are able to remove the orders.

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.

• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the "Simulator" tab
• Press the "Reset" button

yeah, I don't want to lose that historical data though. I continue to study trades from past weeks and months.

Unfortunately the historical trade data for the simulator account will be lost if you try to reset the sim account.

We recommend to take regular backup of the database/settings to avoid scenario like this.
