BigMike Webinar Strategy Error

Hello,

I was watching a Webinar from Josh from Ninja Trader on programming and when I tried to develop the strategy in question, following the exact same steps, I get an error compiling my strategy. I attached a screen shot below. Looks like another strategy I developed is using the same "NinjaTrader.Indicator" namespace.

How can I correct the problem without damaging my other strategy in any way?

The error shown is not related to your current strategy but is related to CCIwArrow.cs
If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader always compiles all indicators and strategies - not just one. This is done to give you the highest runtime performance possible.

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
• Select any indicator and double click on it (we need only to open and compile one script to see all compile errors for all files).
• A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
• At the bottom of the window a new section will appear where you can find the error locations.
• From there you have the option to comment out offending code sections, remove the complete indicator or debug it to be able to compile again.

BigMike Webinar Strategy Error

Hi Lance,

Thanks for the feedback. The error is on line 20 column 18 of the indicator in the attached screenshot below. It looks correct to me but something is wrong obviously. Are you able to see what is wrong? It has to do with the NinjaTrader.Indicator namespace which is "CCIwArrows : Indicator" in this indicator. Does this need to be changed then?

Hello,

This is a custom indicator and you will have to delete the NinjaScript or contact the developer to resolve these issues. (you can delete it from Tools -> edit NinjaScript... -> Indicator (choose the file and click delete))

While it is possible to edit scripts in other ways it is recommended to always use the control center to manage/add/remove scripts.

Can't Delete Indicator

Hi Lance,
I try deleting the indicator and strategy above but it says it's is being used elsewhere.
I can't think of where. Is there a way for me to find out so i can delete them as you mentioned?

Do a search in the ninja folder for cciarrows or whatever it is called, in a file..search In c:\....\documents\ninjatrader7\
