Backtesting with Historical Data
I have 1 minute historical data in a .txt file that NT imports successfully using the Tools->Historical Data->Import feature. How do I get this data onto a chart and run backtests against it? Read something about setting up an instrument?Tags: None

Hi Josh ,
How can I set Strategy Analizer to use my own data instead of provider data (i.e Zen-fire) ? (The data being in db/import , of course) . TIA !
(BTW : Have anyone a method to convert data format from
"ES,061206,153002,01426.25,2 " in "20061206 153002;1426.25;2" ?
Thanks again!)

You can use Strategy Analyzer with your own data by not connecting to your data provider.
Disconnect from ZenFire then import in your data through the Tools->Import Historical Data tool. Then just use Strategy Analyzer and backtest however you want.
To convert your formats most people had success with the use of Microsoft Excel. Hope that helps.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
