signal conflicts
what are some of the best ways to prevent a new entry or exit signal from closing existing positions? -
-
In your automated strategy, you can include a check for the market position in the signal you use to go long or short.
For example,
if(MyEntrySignal = true && Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Flat)
// Go Long
This way, if you are already in a Long position and receive a signal to go long, it will not trigger the GoLong event as your Position would not be flat at that time.MatthewNinjaTrader Product Management
