Displaced Indicators

Hi,
I already found out how to plot a horizontal (= time axis, i. e. plot the same indicator with the same settings displaced 3 bars to the right) displaced indicator. But now I want to do calculations/create strategies with this displaced indicator (i. e. if the "not displaced" indicator crosses the "displaced" indicator do something => see attached pic). How to address the displaced indicator within a strategy?
Any help is highly appriciated.

Welcome to the forum and I am happy to assist you.

Displayed is a visual setting only.

You can however increase the look back period of the indicator to get the displaced value. For example if you are setting the displayed value to 3 then please set the lookback period of the indicator to 3. Thus instead of calling the indicator as say MyIndicator()[0], you will call it as MyIndicator()[3].

thank u very much for the quick response.
I had the same idea, but had a little mistake in understanding the logic behind.
Now it seems to work. Will test it back and forth in realtime. The backtested results are just unbelievable though.
Will inform u when the my account crosses the first million USD ;-)
