Where to place targets and stops

I'm using SetStopLoss and SetProfitTargets. My strategy has only had these set statements immediately prior to the Enter statements. I had assumed this was necessary and correct, but today got a weird situation where I was reversing position and the profit target which was submitted for a long position was a buy limit (instead of a sell limit). This caused the position to be added to immediately because the somehow, the wrong type of limit order was placed, but with the correct limit price.

So, do I need to place the Set statements AFTER the Enter's? Or, might this have just been a weird fluke?
