    dual time frame strategies

    Hi,

is it possible to develop a dual time frame strategy in ninjatrader.
ie i observe trend of an indicator on one time frame and take a position based on an indicator on a different time frame.
i've noticed this can be observed in the marke analyzer which is great, but how can i develop a startegy aroound this?

    Regards,

    G

    Hi G,

Thanks for the post. Yes, NinjaScript allows you to work with multiple instruments or time frames within a single script.
To see an example of this, click Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Strategy > SampleMultiInstrument.
Documentation for this is available here:

Unfortunately the multiseries part will require working with code and is not available in the strategy wizard only. The strategy wizard is a point and click interface for defining trade conditions and actions. You use you mouse primarily and then this generates a coded NinjaScript strategy.

You can start the strategy in the wizard, but if you want to work with multiple series you will need to unlock code, and have some familiarity with the coding concepts detailed here:

Thanks, Ryan. I'm also interested in such a strategy. Unfortunately, when I clicked on the link you gave, I got the following message:

"Unfortunately, the page you are looking for is no longer available"

Do you have a valid working link?

              Thanks in advance.

              Regards.

Sorry, looks like the forum truncated it. Try this one but you will have to click on it:
