    using R

Hi, I am trying to make an interface between R and NT. It seems that there are two options:

    1. using COM interface, this described here: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/...ET-Foundations

    2, using R.NET interface described here http://rdotnet.codeplex.com

So far none of them worked for me. For (1) I get an error saying that provided dll is not in correct format (I put it in bin\custom and added to references). For (2) I get "Attempted to read protected memory".

Could you please let me know if you try any of this methodologies and which one I should continue following.

    BoyPlunger,

I am happy to assist you.

I am not too familiar with R, however Meta.Numerics C#/.NET is an open-source statistical library you could probably use.

Hopefully another member of the forum has some more information on R for you. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Please let me know if I may assist further.

      To all,

Here is an outline on how to use R in C#/.NET which is what NinjaTrader is based on.

and here as well (note that NinjaTrader is .NET 3.5):

Please note this is not supported.

        Hi,
I'm interested in the topic as well. Is there any development on the question made by BoyPlunger?
        Thanks.

We do not have any native developments in this area. We'll leave this thread open for other users with experience to comment.

            Thank you for the reply.

I guess the requirement here is:
            1. Download data from NT in a txt/csv file
            2. Analyze the data in R and obtain the needed results
            3. Pull the results from R into NT
            4. Plot results along with data in NT

Indeed step 1 and 3 are those needed support in this forum as the COM interface between the 2 software packages seems not to be so clear in the way it works.

            Thank you everyone in advance.

              Go over Perl :

Between Perl and R is a Interface and you could use Perl as described
              http://bytes.com/topic/net/answers/1...scripts-dotnet over Web API
              with c%
