Label tab not changing in the optimize box

In the Strategy Analyzer when you optimize a stock/index etc, there is a box call 'label' under a heading called 'General' in the optimizer table that pops out from the right.

One of my strategies is not changing the label name when I select it, but the others are working fine, I have saved the strategy as another named and compiled it, but still the same, it looks like the label holds the default values for optimizing.

Has something got corrupted, I hope I have explained what is happening.

Hi tinkerz,

You likely saved your strategy settings "as default". To check this, go to:
Documents\NinjaTrader 7\templates\strategy.

Look for yourStrategy.xml file and delete it if you don't want to use these settings.

Ok thanks for the info.

What happens is this, I dont get any parameters on this strategy, say I have 2 strategys, A and B, the first with 4 parameters, A, and the second B with 2.

If I select strategy A, I see the optimizer window show the parameters I can tune, then if I select strategy B from the drop down window at the top of the optimizer box, the parameters I can tune are not changing, they are still the same as A.

the label box does not change either in the general section of the optimizer

Is there a limit to how many you can have? I have made 2 more, and they are doing the same thing.

There shouldn't be a limit on strategies that you would be running into. How many do you have? To clarify the main difficulty here - is with the strategy selection drop-down menu when trying to optimize?

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.

I have 18 strategies plus the default strategies.

I change the strategy by the drop down menu, and the last 3 strategies I created dont change the parameters.

All the others when I change the strategy the parameters change, but when I click back to one of the last strategies I created they dont change.

The parameters are unique to each strategy so you can see them change values and labels, some have alot some not. but the last 3 I created dont appear, the last strategy values stay on the screen,

I have sent the log and trace files

You're not running into a limit with 18 strategies.

Thanks for sending in the files. It doesn't look like they have made it here. Can you try attaching the two files indicated below and send manually to my attention to support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

The log file will be named "log.20120322.txt"

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

The trace file will be named "trace.20120322.txt"
