Invalid Instrument

Hallo,

I have scripted a Multiple instrument strategy and the added instrument
causes problems.

Message in the logfile is:

The strategy 'CommodityFakeoutSystem' has called the Add() method with an invalid instrument. Either 'SIP_DAILY' does not exist in the Instrument Manager or the specified exchange has not been configured.

The Add-method is calles the following way:

Add("SIP_DAILY",PeriodType.Day,1);

SIP_DAILY is a created future instrument that contains daily data.
I can view it's data within a chart without problems.

Exchange was originally set to COMEX and due to the problem changed to CME.
It didn't help. What's wrong here?

Hi Stephan123,

If it's a futures instrument, there will always be an expiration associated with it. You need to specify the expiration in the add method.
