Exit Only Strategy ?

Is it possible to enter trades manually but use a strategy or a script to manage the trade ?

Unfortunately this is not currently supported using standard NinjaScript methods.

This is currently on our suggestion list using tracking ID #294.

NinjaScript strategies are automated for both entries and exits. They can't be applied manual entries for the purpose of automating the exit only.

Hello strongheart,

While #294 was not implimented for NinjaTrader 8, in that the strategy will see your manual order, there was support added so that as a strategy starts it can inherit the account position. In this way if you make your account long 1 before starting the strategy, you can write code into the strategy to protect that long position.
