multiple crashes in replay

I did not get a reply to my last post

I find the only way to avoid a crash (after changing a parameter setting in the code and compiling) is to disconnect/connect replay....otherwise replay does not seem able to handle the edit

Our apologies ATI user, I will look into why you did not get the desired reply here - the hotfix posted is applicable for 32 and 64 bit systems so please try with this installed on your setup.

the install exe warns that developers must 'chain' the 32 and 64 bit versions to their code

how does this affect Export NinjaScript code process? i.e. anything to change my end or is it seemless?

Should not be affecting the NS assemblies, this fix is database / SQL CE related here.

so my users that import my exported ninjascript do not have to also install the fix?

I would assume not since the crash only occurs when I edit/compile code and rewind replay...which my users can not do

ATI user, correct this should not be generally needed by anyone runing your strategies. If they run into issues (could be different scenario) support might advise though to follow through this upgrade as well.

I'm looking forward to hear if the applied fix could resolve your issue seen.

installed hotfix
did several code edits (parameter changes seemed to cause the crashes...i.e. not onbarupdate code changes)

looked ok on several edit/compile/rewinds

just crashed as before ...so hotfix did not solve issue

..........edit............

now NT crashes if the only change is to an atm in charttrader...i..e code editor not even open...just ran the strat....it flattens account on condition....which disables the strat...made change to an atm....rewound..reloaded strat to chart and crash on placing first order (not the changed atm)

workaround now is to change date back and then forth if any code or atm changes...have not had a crxash since using this method

so...the issue must have something to do with replay storing values on rewind which, if rewinding in same date, conflicts with new compiled code or atm change

ATI user, apologies - I'll have our IT admin inspect this thread / ticket shortly here.

For the issue : if you change the ATM in ChartTrader - what log / trace error would this produce on your end? If you could forward those to me at support again that would be very helpful as well.

Unfortunately I still can't reproduce this here on my end - would you be open to give a fresh installed .NET a try as well to rule this out?

actually I am happy with the workaround...i.e. able to get work done...so will pass on the .NET install.

do not know re atm log error...will check if it happens again

to reproduce at your end I suspect you need to amend sampleatmstrategy code to flattenall on condition, then edt/compile...then rewind and it should crash at least 1 out of 4 times
