Partial closing of position in an ATM strategy within a script

Hi,

Is it possible to close part of the open position initiated with an ATM strategy from within a script ? The only position closing function I see in the Help Guide closes the whole strategy.

buylosellhi, correct - Close would just close the whole strategy, do you have seaprate targets perhaps so you could move the exit limit order to fill you immediately if you'd like to shed contracts off the position?

hi Bertrand, thanks for your reply. the partial exit is based on certain conditions being met and not a predefined Target based exit.
is there a way to use limit order to be executed like a market order, so I can start with a limit exit far away from entry and then recalculate it within the script ?

Yes, that's how I would approach it, set the target far enough away from your entry and then move it close as the partial should take place based on your conditions in the script.

yes. but is there a way to ensure that limit order is entered like a market order ? what if I post a sell limit below the market and a buy limit above ?

Yes, that's a marketable limit order > should give you an instant fill, since essentially a better price than the one you submitted at (limit order is always this price X or better).
