BTW, koganam - I increased the MinimumPerformance by 100 like you but it's not making a difference. Complete melt down in less than 2 minutes. Will have to give up on PH for now...

Increasing the MinimumPerformance was not the point. The point was to check from the output window to see what it was reporting, so as to tell where the problem lies. You asked where to find the information, and I used an example to show you. The increase that I used was specific to what I was trying to do, in a situation where the optimizer was already performing without crashing.

If you can see the performance figure it is reporting, you can determine if you have a processor overflow. That leads to determining how to set up the parameters to avoid the overflow, even if it means having to optimize on different criteria in the first instance.

When optimizing, one has to handle the big picture, or one can easily get lost in the minutiae. The MinimumPerformance figure that you set in options is of little importance when the optimizer is doing something that immediately overwhelms it. To the contrary, when the optimizer crashes, the MinimumPerformance being reported as achieved may help pinpoint the problem. That is why I mentioned it. I did not mean, or even imply, that merely changing the MinimumPerformance parameter might solve your issue: I just asked you to check what it was reporting, and what the report could mean, and explained the PHGenetic output.

Then again, of course, if you are satisfied with another optimizer, that point is moot anyway. Good trading to you.
