When using the Optimizer or WalkForward, can you tell me how many cores of a multicore cpu NinjaTrader uses? I'm considering getting a six core cpu, but do you know if Ninja will even make use of all the cores when calculations are runing in the Analyzer?

Hi Ken,

Yes, the 64 bit version of NT can use multiple cores when using features like optimizing and walk forward. There shouldn't be a restriction there so will use all cores available.

Hi Javier,

Yes, NinjaTrader 7 detects if you're using a 64 bit machine and then installs both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. NinjaTrader 7 has been 64-bit compatible since beta so will have it with release 6 as well.
