    Strategy not enabling on NT 7.0.10005

    Ok....2 quick things....I run an ATM strategy, and just recently upgraded from 6.5 to 7.0. Well, I had to have the code updated to make the strat work on 7.0.

    Now, here are the issues....first, every morning, I open the Strategies tab...and I have to remove all the previous versions of the system. Then I add the strategy with the right settings for today, and let it trade. So the next day I come in, and I have another old strategy to remove. So, why do old strat's from previous days stay there when I start up NT7? And how can I make that stop...I need to add set-up the strat new each day.

    Next, Last night I made the upgrade from NT 7.0.10004 to NT 7.0.10005 (because of the notices that went out about the new reporting requirements). So this morning...I come in, open up NT....remove a ton of old strats from that tab....set up the new strat...and when I click the 'ENABLE' checkbox....and the checkmark disappears, and the start name does not go green....what's going on?

    Thanks for the post. Previous strategies stay there as most users prefer not to setup new each day.

    You may consider resetting the simulated account if you want a way to remove all that are applied to a simulated account. Tools > Options > Simulator > Reset.

    If they're applied to a live account, you can reset the database. This clears all execution history and also removes all strategies from the strategies tab. Click Tools > Options > Data tab > Reset DB. Otherwise right click > remove on each strategy.

    If a strategy does not become enabled, check the log tab of the control center for any error messages. If there are no messages, check the account that the strategy is set to and that you currently have access to it.

      Thanks for the timely response sir. First, I'm not sure what resetting the Simulator will do to ATM strats....but I tried it...and nothing happened....closed NT, re-opened....all still there....can you please clarify this point???

      Secondly....I am logging errors today...for some reason...."Error on calling 'OnExecution' methos from strategy...."

      Why....this didn't happen (even just yesterday!) with NT7.000004....why with NT7.000005.....what changed....again?

      Am I going to have to spend more money to have a programme tweek this thing for 7.0005...again?

      Really frustrated sir.....thanks for your help.

        Thanks for the reply and sorry to hear your frustration. Yes, if these are applied to a live account, reset sim trick will not work. You can reset DB for this but will also remove all trade execution history.
