    Converting from Easy Language

I am in the process of converting from TradeStation EL to C# and Ninja. The issue is that I am fairly competent with EL but don't have a clue on C#. Programming was not my profession to begin with but have been doing it for over 30 years as an engineer.

What would be the best way to begin.

My plan is to try to switch to Ninja and ZenFire in an automated mode or with IB and I would like to know where the pitfalls will be.

First though, what would the "guru's " recommend. I have bought some books from Amazon on C#.

Should I just dive in or read the books and then start. I know that initially it will take some time, but I am willing to put the time in.

    thanks in advance.

familytrading, welcome to NinjaScript familiytrading - a C# book is good for covering the language basics on which NT / NinjaScript would stand, but for indicator / strategy development I feel those tutorials are the best start - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../tutorials.htm

Also our Strategy Wizard provides a point and click interface to get started and offering options to review the needed core syntax later -

As you advance and get more familiar, consider checking into those samples and tips as well:
