Decide when order will be submitted

    Hello,

I was previously using ProRealTime and it was possible to define wether an order will be submitted "thisbasonclose" or "tomorrowOpen". Is it possible on NT to have these two possibilities ?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi LaughingDwarf,

There are a couple factors here for setting expiration on orders.

By default, orders are set to expire on the bar they're submitted to, unless you use an overload that allows liveUntilCancelled. Here is the signature for this for EnterLongLimit:
EnterLongLimit(int barsInProgressIndex, bool liveUntilCancelled, int quantity, double limitPrice, string signalName)

If you submit liveUntilCancelled = true, then you can manually issue CancelOrder() when you want to cancel. There is a sample on CancelOrder here.

There is also TimeInForce that is set per strategy. You can set TimeInForce for orders as either Day or GoodTillCancelled.
