Forex - Profit Gain

Hello, I'm relatively new to using NinjaTrader, and I've been experimenting with the NinjaScript strategy editor, and I have a question regarding the usage of the Profit Gain function when back testing a Forex strategy.

Does Profit Gain automatically take into consideration the Bid-Ask Spread in Forex or should I incorporate a few extra ticks/pips into my Profit Gain settings so that it covers the spread?

Thanks for the forum post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums.

You will be filled on the Ask price if going long and the bid price is going short in realtime.

However in the backtest it always run on the price data you run into it. So if you set it to Last price it will fill at the last price in the backtester. So if you are backtesting you would need to add a tick or two if you want to account for this.
