How can I trade manually to compare my strategy

    Hi,sir:

i got some strategies worked for a period, it is cool. But i find a problem when I try to manually trade according to the chart.

for example, in my strategy, i set if MACD of TF/ES is lower than -6, i will enter a buy order, it is work in strategy, and if i change the -6, the results changes.
but when I try to trade manually, I cannot find the MACD -6 or 6, in the chart,

and another thing is SMA, i set if SMA20>OR <SMA50 I will put a short/long order, but the period during the cross of SMA is too long than i guess, and the auto trade happens during the SMA20>SMA50 and SMA20<SMA50

Find the difference between manually trading and auto trading is very important in my procedure.

I am trying to start seriously, so, would you give me any ideas about it.
    best wishes.

    yours

    Hello golden zhao,

You can trade manually in any of the order entry areas of the platform -- only not on a chart with a strategy applied. Create a new chart with File > New > Chart and then enable ChartTrader. You can mouse over the icons on the chart to see ChartTrader and click to toggle this.

You can apply indicators to the chart without applying a strategy. Please see this document for help with indicators:

thanks for the quick reply...but the situation is little bit different...
if there is a trader, he should watch a chart then buy and sell his stocks under his technical analysis over the chart.
I have done my auto trade strategy yet, but i would like to understand if my strategy match my technical analysis or not.
so, I watch the chart with technical signals like SMA,/MACD and see my auto trade strategy work over the chart. In a chart, the auto trade is doing, got buy and sell, and in the same time, MACD/SMA changed over the chart.
but the buy and sell does not match my strategy under SMA.MACD
as i said, in my strategy, i should buy a stock if MACD is lower than -6, but i cannot find MACD-6 in the chart.

You have to be sure everything is exactly the same between the indicator you're visualizing and the values you're calling from the strategy. One way to ensure this is to use the strategy wizard, which has a plot on chart option you can set for your rules. This matches the indicator visualization with the indicator values.
