different forex tick size same feed

I am running NT 7.0.1000.2 connected to Kinetick live feed

my strat checks if the instrument is based in Yen in which case it changes the order quantity from 0.01M for most forex to 100...in order to achieve $1 per pip

per the Market Analyzer you can see that the top 4 Yen based pairs are correct at $1 per pip while the USDJPY is $0.01 per pip....this was not the case when running the same strat with PFG feed in sim

also I note MBTrading has a min order size of 1000...this will cause a further issue unless they use a different tick size from kinetick and PFG for Yen pairs

the setting in Data/FX is 'Pip'

    Hello ATI user,

There was a known issue concerning PnL reporting with FOREX in version 7.0.1000.2. Please let us know if you still see the issue using this version.

Download is available here and there is a little more setup involved with this version if you use 3rd party indicators. Be sure to read the instructions before starting the install:

      thanks...I installed NT 7.0.1000.3..
this is confusing as it seems to use the same order quantity for a mini-lot as does other forex pairs (i.e. 0.01M)...even though the tick size for yen based is .01 instead of .0001
seems to work per Market Analyzer
please confirm this is correct for Kinetick live feed

I'm not sure I follow. How is the pip size connected to the order quantity for a mini lot? I don't believe these are related, but please clarify and we can look into.

using R2 with PFG feed 100 quantity size yen-based pair 1 pip or tick = $1
using R3 with Kinetick live feed 0.01M quantity size 1 pip = $1
that is a big change in quantity..pleae explain the difference

also, instead of even $ it is now in fractions of dollars...is this related to R3 picking up different fill prices?...

basically please explain the changes from R2

Kinetick is not a brokerage service, so when Sim trading with it, PnL is based on the point value defined in the instrument manager, for a 100,000 (Standard) unit trade.

PFG PnL is based on your account settings, and will vary based on the leverage set at the account level.

FOREX is not a centralized exchange so PnL figure based on pip movements is not standardized.

              thanks

why does 7 ticks profit now equal $4.79 instead of $7.00 as it did in R2

also inconsistent with AUDUSD for which 7 ticks = $7.00

while an 8 tick loss in EURCHF is $8.34

ATI user, if you look at the executions you received, is there a conversion rate listed for all as well? If not, please ensure the MA window with all crosses needed is running and receiving data before you execute so the rate needed for conversion is actually streaming in correctly. Would you then still see those issues?

                Thanks,

rate is in Executions tab per pic

was this rate 1 for all instruments in NT R2?...this would explain large difference after upgrade to R3

Correct - The conversion rate of 1 was the bug identified in R2.

The rate is the conversion of the base currency into USD, supplied by the data feed.
