Strategy with volume and time together

I tried to write a strategy combining indicators from volume chart and time chart. It compiled, but didn't work., so I erased it. I reviewed the Sample Multiple time frame strategy and used that as a starting point. Is it POSSIBLE to combine volume with time in a stategy or indicator? For example if price above a SMA on volume and different SMA on a Volume series -- draw a line or enter a trade or whatever?
