    Confusing Data on Chart

In the attached screen shot (NT7-ScrnShot-1.jpg). You can see that there are no strategies active on the chart, and there are no positions in the Control Center....
Yet, the chart shows a couple each of BUY and SEL orders.

The chart is a saved workspace. It was created and saved once. I use it for Indicator and Strategy development. It is opened often. But when closed it is NEVER saved... So, it seems to me, this workspace should never acquire any indicator or strategy attributes.

I find this very confusing... Could someone explain what these orders are and where they may have come from.

A couple of guesses: first it appears you are talking about the orders marked at far right...and it appears these are at the close of the trading session---so these maybe submitted based on your settings to close all orders before (or at) the market close....

2nd related guess - these orders were submitted outside of the strategy-and since you don't have a strategy enabled yet-they display on the chart based on your DataSeries setting (or chart properties in NT6.5) -- as soon as you enable a strategy (on the same chart)--I think only orders submitted by that strategy are displayed on that chart---and if you disable the strategy--any orders submitted elsewhere for that instrument will reappear again.

    Hope this helps.

ts_gordo, the markers show executions. It doesn't matter where the executions came from, they will show up on the chart.

Does your executions tab show the markers? Were you doing any discretionary trading that would create those markers? They would usually only show up if you have Chart Trader open.. can you please open up Chart Trader and then close it and/or switch accounts to see if the markers disappear?

        Thank you Austin,

Here are your questions with the answers...

Does your executions tab show the markers?
No. That tab is also empty. (As is the Positions tab)

Were you doing any discretionary trading that would create those markers?
Not that I am aware of.. I was adding and removing a simple strategy that I am developing.

They would usually only show up if you have Chart Trader open..
Sorry, I don't know what Chart Trader is... have never used it.

Can you please open up Chart Trader and then close it and/or switch accounts to see if the markers disappear?
        Sorry, too late.

Here is what I did do:
I started a fresh copy of NT and then opened a new chart. The chart opened showing these markings and with the strategies, executions, and positions tabs still all empty.

I did a "reset" in the Tools --> Options --> Simulator Tab, in the Misc box (clicked OK for Account Sim101, with the clear history box set) the executions artifact went away!

I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest that something that needed to be cleaned up several restarts ago... wasn't!
