Compilation Errors- Help Needed to resolve it..

Hi Brett,

This strategy was a paid strategy done by a 3rd party.

I have made some simple changes to the code. I am not a programmer but has been able make small changes to it and it was able to work nicely in ver6.5.

If it is too difficult to change then I will have to consult them. But if it is a simple matter, then it is definitely more economical to do it myself. Furthermore,they are away in the meantime. I just want to move to ver7 asap.

We can certainly try, first suggestion is to change the following:

Need to change that first parameter:

OrderAction.Buy
OrderAction.Sell

Then try to compile and then repost errors.

In this case I would need to have you email me the strategy for me to try to troubleshoot it on my end as I cannot see in the screenshot where the error is. It most be somewhere else in the file.

support at ninjatrader dot com and reference this forum post, put ATTN: brett in the subject line so it makes it too me.

To send me the strategy use Control Center->File->Utiltiies->Export NinjaScript to export out a file that you can attach to an email to the above address or follow up with your programmer for further instructions.

Hi Brett,

I cannot export the file because there is a prompt that says " You have custom Ninjascript on your PC that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before you can export a NinjaScript Archive file" that prevents me from doing so.

I can forward you the strategy via email instead. I tried the ninja support option but I cannot attach the file.

Kindly provide me a email so that I can sent it you.

Hi,

Please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling the indicator. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies- not just one.

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
• Select an indicator and double click on it.
• A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
• At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations.
• From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it.
