    How to flatten an account? - Risk Manager

    Any one knows how to flatten an account, not every account? This is useful, so that a risk manager can be built to monitor multiple accounts.

    The following works for all accounts:
    NinjaTrader.Gui.SuperDom.SuperDom.FlattenEverythin g();

    But it flattens all accounts and not a specific account. Please any one have any ideas
    on how to do this?

    Bluepoint, unfortunately programmatically flattening an account or all accounts is not supported.

      I wondering if there are a lot of people that would like to be able to do this. As well as access account position - not just strategy positions.

        This has been suggested before and is on our feedback list for future consideration - for our NT7 those account items would be supported for programmatic access -

          http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...countvalue.htm

          Could getaccountvalue be used to determine if a manual trade was put on while running a strategy on the same account so the strategy would avoid entering a subsequent trade? Anyone doing this already? My strategy takes 'conservative' trades but I trade with it on the same account and take more 'aggresive' trades in the same direction. I usually have to disable my strategy when entering manually, then re-enable once I exit my discretionary trade.

          I'm thinking along the lines of tracking getaccountvalue buypower and if buypower was reduced by an amount equal to buypower minus my typical tradesize, the strategy wouldn't enter a trade. Would welcome any suggestions.

            mgin98, you could certainly try it out and see if it works.
