Values in Strategy Dialog Box not changing

In version 7 I have changed variable values in my strategy and compiled. When I am re-initializing the strategy from the strategy dialog box the values have not changed. They are NOT the same as the compiled strategy. How do I refresh and get the new values into my chart? Also what's the deal with the "Enable" true/false. What's the purpose of this new improved option?

Hello Kenb2004,

If you save a strategy settings as default (Right Click > Save as Default), this will supersede any code declarations.

May need to reapply the strategy, change the values and make new defaults.

The settings for strategy defaults are stored in Documents\NinjaTrader\templates\strategy if you want to manually delete and start over.

Enabled / disabled was added as an extra step to make the decision to apply an automated strategy deliberate. We previously used this convention in control center applied strategies and now extend that to charts.

Yes I did use the "Save as Default" option so I would NOT have to keep changing the "Enabled" from "True" to "False", then apply, to edit the settings and then back again every time I want to change a setting. I think it's redundant and unnecessary. It serves no purpose. Other than that I think it's great. But that option (Enabled) does NOT "Save as Default". Thanks for the path, I'll delete that .xml file.
