strategy script helps

i made a simple buy/sell script strategy in the wizzard and a few manual tweaking.

now i would like to do is make this strategy work only once after it hit the profit target or stop, and not be active after, other wise it keeps repeating it self every time the condition is meet.

You can do this with user variables in the strategy wizard. This sample can help with this:

You check a user variable value and then within the same block that places the order you set to the opposite direction.

Within your condition for entry, add a condition that checks if UserVariable0 == 0.

Then, within your action for this condition, set UserVariable0 to 1.

It will help to import that reference sample into your platform, and then edit the code.(Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Stategy) You can then see how this can be setup within the strategy wizard.

Your issue likely is the reset of the user variable as soon as your place your limit entry, I believe this is not what you seek - if you for example do the reset each day at session start you should see 1 trade for the day at your level x.

what exactly is the UserVariable doing? i cant find anything on it in the documentations, what options do i have to able to kill this strategy after it did what it supose to do?

also how can i dynamicly change my SetProfitTarget and SetStopLoss in real-time during a trade? i tried putting them on OnBarUpadate() but it dind work, every time i try to move them using chart trader they always go back to their orginal posistion.

and on my EnterShortLimit i have 2 orders, now how would i go on exiting 1 by 1 in different targets?
i tried putting two

User variable acts like a bool flag here. This is how it would be setup in the code to have trade only once if your entry condition is Low[0] == 1169

To change stop loss and profit targets dynamically with code, please see this reference sample:

If you wanted to manually adjust targets and stop losses, you would have to hookup your NinjaScript strategy to an ATM strategy. A sample for this is available. Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Strategy > SampleAtmStrategy

In order to scale out of a strategy you must first scale in with separate entry names. This sample can help with scaling.

That looks good. There was an error in my previous post but you caught it.

To debug use Print statements and TraceOrders output.

Most likely the conditions were true, but then the limit order didn't fill and you set it up not to evaluate this condition again. To check for this scenario, try with a market order instead.

i diceded to give it a try at calling a ATM in ninjascript, it worked fine but when the condintion is meet and the strategy activates and it places the ATM to be execute, its placing the same ATM "tradethis" nonstop i goes from 2 to 80+ in a instance, its template name is "tradethis", and on the ATM Strategy drop menu on the chart trader it shows all the 80+ atm's so i guess its placing 80+ of the same atm "tradethis" nonstop, instead of only placing 1 atm. whats wrong with it? thanks.

This is expected, as the condition is true (especially if running on CalculateOnBarClose = false) it would create ATM()'s - please have a look at the SampleAtmStrategy we ship per default how the order entry is structured to prevent this from happening.

I would suggest you work with the SampleAtmStrategy as it's for now to get familiar with it's structure and programming, for example in your call I'm not sure why you check two times for the length of the unique id, you should also save the unique id generated to a variable for future reference.

what i wan to do is be able to change the price 1169 and 1169.25 at any time with out having to go to edit the strategy every time when i need to change prices.
