Entry triggered from 3rd party indicator

is it possible to have a strategy enter a position based on a indicator (that can't be opened to view code like a third party vendor)?

for example:

1.) the indicator plots a dot on the indicator panel to show a possible trade setting up

there are a couple of additional criteria needed "after" that dot gets painted which would need to happen before a entry is entered.


so i'm basically asking if a strategy can "see" the dot get painted without the need to view the code that actually makes it paint the dot.

Unfortunately this would not be possible. You would need to know the conditions required to place the dot before designing a trading strategy around it.
