Strategy Serialization

Hi, I'm trying to debug the XML Serialization of a strategy (with a generic List)... but I can't find the XML file where the strategies are serialized... where are they kept?

I don't see anything in that directory. Does that mean the serialization failed? I don't see any indication of that happening in the logs.

These files relate to default strategy settings. They will appear only when you first Right Click > Save as Default for a given strategy. You have this available whenever you are trying to run a strategy.

Is this the type of property you are trying to serialize or something else?

When I create a strategy (or attach it to a chart) under the "Strategies" tab, the strategy has to save my parameter setting somewhere (I'm assuming via XML serialization); so that when I quit NT and reload it, it's reloaded with all my strategies where I left them, including the parameter settings I've chosen to use.

Where does NT stash these serializations?

You must first Right Click > Save as Default when setting up the strategy.
